Conscription is a law that in a situation such as the one described above is a necessity.
However, there are ways to "avoid" conscription.
Personally I am all for the Swiss model, whereby every person who is well enough to defend their home and nation is trained/educated to do so.
If heaven forbid the situation happen, civilians are able to defend themselves.
PS. Better an Aussie come for our children to get them capable of defending themselves AND US (old farts) than some enemy goat loving satanic worshiping cult member who is going to make soup out of our kids to feed the female sex slaves (our wives and daughters).
