The Apathy of Free People

in #politics7 years ago

Our world is changing at such a rapid pace that the most valuable asset has become information. The progression of society from the dark ages to the printing press to the internet has made information that would take hours or even days to research, available in seconds. We can analyze the news, markets, foreign policy, history, politics, weather, or hop on social media for some cat memes.

The tricks that used to work for banks and governments to control outcomes are becoming more difficult to keep under wraps because of this and clearly over the past several years a good example would be Wikileaks. Never before have we had anything more than theories that simply couldn't be proven, but by the sharing of this information, the path of civilization is altered. Certainly, not all conspiracies are rational, but some of them are becoming not only possible, but potentially worse than people imagined.

In my opinion, it has become very clear that there are powerful interests that affect every single life on Earth (if you dispute this please keep in mind that there are a small number of people on earth that could could order it's destruction at any moment).

There is evidence of horrendous crime at these levels, yet people still beg those in power, either directly or indirectly, to rule them. The apathy of free people is leading them into further being controlled. Accountability is a word that has lost it's meaning at the top. It is a skewed 6 syllable word that applies only to those that are ruled. The level of control of everyone's information is stunning. The power to shut off your ability to do commerce, or frame you for a crime, even take over the ECM of your vehicle and run you directly into a wall.

We do not have to conform, we do not have to be violent, we do not have to concern ourselves with the desperate society that they have "created" through such dishonorable means. The principles of liberty are not a commodity to be sold to us through licensure, and nobody has a right to deprive another of their rights (self defense not included). We are the collective of ideas from INDIVIDUALS. We have more brainpower in seconds than all governments combined, yet we bend for them. It is time for our renaissance, it is time we break the current sociological model with the brilliance of our most valuable asset, information. Paired with innovation, people can bring these centralized powers down to eye level.

Please let me know your thoughts!

Damn good post. As a society we are pacified with entertainment, while the powers that be literally get away with murder. We beg for more government, more entertainment, more distractions. We avert our eyes from things that cause us to question the accepted "majority view" of things.

It's that majority "group think" mentality that actually works against us all. If we had no political party to blanket our views within, perhaps the issues would matter. Those parties are subject to corruption from corporations, religious influence, personal gain, and quite simply put, lust for power. The individual that governs himself is free to make voluntary contracts with other individuals that are free. The moment they try to usurp power from those that haven't entered a contract freely, they are inflicting their idea, not persuading people to truly get behind it.

We as people long for groups to identify with. Few of us are comfortable being loners. From my perspective, the two parties provide an identity for people that struggle for acceptance in other areas as well. I know of people, teenagers especially, who feel that they lack an identity, so they jump on the Democratic party bus. There is an identity for anyone on that bus, as long as you toe the line.

Anarchy is only solution.
The word anarchy comes from the ancient Greek ἀναρχία (anarchia), which combines ἀ (a), "not, without" and ἀρχή (arkhi), "ruler, leader, authority." Thus, the term refers to a person or society "without rulers" or "without leaders."

I completely agree, the issue is not one of what would work best for the individual, but one of persuasion. Most people have a convoluted idea that anarchy means chaos, failing to understand that they are mutually exclusive. Conspiracy figure heads build up and profit from fear politics, sometimes warranted, sometimes not, but there are not any practical solutions. An anarchists biggest enemy is the misguided belief that anarchy is bad.

I completely agree. If you didn`t listen Larken Rose so far, I recommend it. He brakes many myths about anarchy and much more.

I will definitely check it out. Easily found on YouTube?

Yes, here is his channel. There is more his stuff that are not on this channel, mostly interviews.
