Trudeau's China/Corporate Pleasing Pipeline
"Free Trade" has nothing to do with trade, and it is certainly not free.
Trudeau wants to buy a disgustingly poisonous, leaky oil pipeline that a Texas multinational corporation walked away from.
Good for the economy? Or a guarantee that Alberta’s economy will crash even lower than 1930s depressions levels in a few years?
There is no good economic reason for this purchase. But there are lots of bad ones. Including, fear of losing an ISDS case, a billions of dollars payout in the name of FREE TRADE.
Update: Since recording this a few other articles have come to light. It was not a fear of a NAFTA ISDS complaint, but fear of a massive payout to China! See link below.
