Judicial activism has no place in America!

in #politics7 years ago

The constitution, more specifically Article II outlines executive authority, as to what the POTUS can do and what he can't. Article III, lays out the role of the Judicial branch, in this case the courts, and its role. One is being disingenuous if they are suggesting that the courts have an obligation to block everything the President does, just because you don't agree. I sat by for 8 years while Obama destroyed the very fabric of our republic, but I used the opportunity to educate myself on the rule of law and the constitution, to get a better understanding of why our the constitution was violated by the Obama administration, and the W. Bush administration. Trump is not perfect either, so I am not riding the man's jock. I was very disappointed with his support of that disaster of a CR last week. He needs to show a little more respect for the taxpayer dollars. Tax cuts are great but spending needs to be scaled way back too! However, one thing I know about Trump is that he loves America and he is not shy about showing it to the world. I listened to Obama trash America, its founding, and everything we hold deat, while praising social justice, and communist policies. Trump has not patriotism in his left pinkie finger than Obama has in his whole body. Judges that make changes to legislation and/or interfere with authority that is clearly given to the POTUS, just because they disagree, are a disgrace.

ain't that the truth.
unfortunately judicial activism has been happening since before I was born..
almost seventy years ago.

I know it's been there, but it doesn't make it right or Constitutional. The problem lies in the fact that the courts are not kept honest because there is no check on judicial power. A court decision stands, until another higher court reverses that decision. There is no constitutional way to keep courts and individual judges from going rogue.

The constitution hasn't been seriously adhered to since the ink was dry.

You are correct! As far back as POTUS John Adams, when he was trying to get the sedition act through congress so that anyone that disagreed with the decision to go to war with France would be arrested. This was a blatant violation of the first amendment freedom of speech protections. This is why the government government needs to be shackled, because the government will take take take as long as you let them.
