So it turns out there's a propaganda war at the moment flaring up between the left and the right news organisations on this issue I posted about in regards to anti-Brexit lecturers abusing their positions to bitch about Brexit when really they shouldn't be. Now this wouldn't surprise me but I'm going to be fair here even if none of these news organisations will, the daily mail, telegraph and so on are posting up that there have been lecturers who have been handing out pro-remain leaflets when they're supposed to be teaching engineering.

Meanwhile you have the left wing media, acting in typical fashion, saying it's a load of shite and claiming that the guy who sent the letters has an agenda, of course he has an agenda, he's pro-Brexit, but the way these lecturers are acting has been utterly remarkable, just take a look at some of the stuff they're saying.

A number of academics have furiously hit back at the articles, with one lecturer slamming it as a “witch hunt”.

Professor Thom Brooks, dean of Durham University’s law school, called the story “dog whistle politics at its worst”.

Speaking to HuffPost UK, Brooks said: “It shows how badly Brexit negotiations are going that any kind of criticism of how things are is now being treated as treason.”

Now this last line by them was particularly ridiculous, no people don't think that you're committing 'treason' what people think is that you're abusing your position as lecturers in order to push a pro-Brexit agenda and given the way you've reacted it seems they're entirely right to question you. Also, when the fuck did it become suddenly 'illegal' to ask about course material and the type of teaching lecturers and professors offer? Are they suddenly above reproach now? When did they get immunity compared to the rest of us?

There wasn't just a 'backlash' against this Conservative MP sending a politely worded letter about their teaching materials they are literally throwing a hysterical fit over it. These are clearly people who have never had to have their work questioned in decades which leads me to believe there's a lot more going on here than even the MP has suspected, I hope he continues digging and can get some proper reports written up about it because otherwise it will be too easy to dismiss if it's the Daily Mail.

I know it's a long shot, but if any university students happen to be reading this, it would be really great to read about some of your experiences even discussing Brexit on campus. I never went to a university and stayed at home to learn so obviously I won't know a lot about this and I've only got outside sources to go on so it would be really interesting to hear from you and I wouldn't mind hearing from people who are pro-remain that have gotten shit at university for it either if there is evidence of that.

Note: Just to explain to people who come across my political posts, I archive these news organisation sites because they make money from people clicking on ads and I hate all of them. I list the sources for you to click on and read so you know I'm not just talking out of my arse and have proper evidence for what I'm writing.
