Republican nominee is a conspiracy theorist!

Unsurprisingly the Republican nominee for North Carolina governor has insane takes on World War 2.

He thinks the US government was behind Pearl Harbor. He thinks our joining the fight in Europe was just a conspiracy to help the communists. And he thinks the government murdered Patton because he was on to this conspiracy.

It is an indictment of the electorate that this governor's race is competitive. And an indictment of the Republican party for nominating this insane person.
