UPDATE ON LAUTECH POLITICS

Hi guys, I'll be updating on politics in my school, from a great citadel of learning,
LADOKE AKINTOLA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY.

*here is the report of the just concluded senatorial house election, where Rt. Hon. Usman Babatunde.

Official release from the Independent Lautech Electoral Commission on the outcome of the election of principal officers of the Lautech Students Representative Council

The election was held today at the 250LT with 52 accredited honorable members of the house in attendance. After nominations of members who had earlier shown interest by obtaining nomination forms, the following honorable members were returned unopposed;

1. Rt. Hon. Usman Wasiu Babatunde (Anatomy 400-level) Speaker
2. Hon. Adeyemo Olaoluwa Adeyemi (EEE 400-level) Clerk
3. Hon. Ojo Anuoluwapo (Stat 400-level) Chief Whip

NB: The pronouncement of the Deputy Speaker could not be done due to delay experienced in the verification of the credentials of the only honorable member who obtained nomination form. In lieu of this, by-election into the office of the deputy speaker will be conducted at the inaugural sitting of the house.

Well, a fair election was conducted on a peaceful atmosphere and I hope we can exhibit this type of character in Nigeria political sector as a whole.

@ewuoso was also present at the electionn.
