Child Exploitation

in #politics7 years ago (edited)

Poverty is one of the reasons why illegally becomes legal in the mind of people who experienced lack of opportunities and needs. Child labor, prostitution, drug pushing and even human trafficking are on the top-list and one of the world’s largest problems across the globe. In the becoming days, our futures will be in the hands of our younger generation today. That is why a child must be on the list of the first priorities of the government to enhance their capabilities by their own desires. But then what happened to our Government today? They are dealing with the new tactics on their plans for war against a country to a country…

Where in the world are children toiling dangerous and dirty conditions, missing out on education and other basic rights?
A new report by risk analysis firm Maplecroft, which ranks 197 countries, identifies Eritrea, Somalia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Myanmar, Sudan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Zimbabwe and Yemen as the 10 places where child labor is most prevalent…

A Child is meant to play, study, helping chores a little and the parents should send their children to school. By then, their children will nurture the life of being a kid to live with freedom and hit their goals in future. Hence, a child will start on thinking at the point of his life in earning a complete understanding of what he really needs to do and finish; be more competitive with the odds of life. So then, they will become responsible for their future’s fate instead of dealing the need each day that the parents should do for his/her children.

For the Government: Government in each country should eradicate and give attention to address every child’s need to conquer child exploitations because the life of tomorrow will be affected by this issue. And I do believe that a strong leader can teach and command his/her disciples to lift up the needs of the younger ones.

I don't know if I can agree with this. Child labor has been blown way out of proportion. How do you think the world worked just a few hundred years ago? Not everyone was going to school and having a carefree life. Kids would apprentice with their parents at very young ages so that they could one day take over the family business.
It's only in recent history that the general population has had the LUXURY of spoiling their children in the way you describe. When times are tough, sometimes everyone needs to pitch in.
These kids are learning. They're just not learning the largely useless information that most people learn in traditional schools. They're definitely learning what they need to learn to survive where they live.
Yes, it's sad that we can't all live like people in first world countries but it's also sad that anyone has to work at and that all of our needs aren't taken care of for us from birth till death.
Kids are a lot tougher than most people think. They don't have to be coddled. That's just something that overconcerned parents made popular.

I respect your point.

I found it sensible as we "Label" it today @jun2 however, @ghoits is right there's no term about child labor and exploitation before.

Today, this label and bylaws we followed it became a pandemic situation around the globe but regardless of what story we see in them, it's the survival they think for living.

If we consider a 16 years boy as child, than it will be a matter of debate. If a 14 years boy help his father in his shop or farm, you shouldn't consider it as child labor. If there are no earning members in the family (father dead, only mother and younger brothers /sisters) then elder child might involve himself in money making job. But no doubt, the task or job must be according to his physical capacity. We shouldn't burden on him. He is just trying to help his family. We should help him as much as possible.

I can see your point of view, I respect.
