In this video, I talk with Andrew Meyer of Cerno News who took the internet by storm in September 2007 after a video of him getting tasered went viral.

John Kerry was speaking at The University of Florida where Andrew was a student. During question period, Andrew Meyer questioned him about conceding the election to Bush despite votes tallying backwards. He also questioned Kerry on belonging to Skull & Bones with George W. Bush. Following this question, his microphone was shut off and police tugged on his shirt and tried to restrain him to which he yelled for help. As people sat apathetically, he was thrown to the ground, handcuffed and then as a police officer said "tase him" he uttered the now infamous words, "Don't tase me bro!" followed by being zapped by the taser.

The incident made international news and led to statements from John Kerry and countless media analysts.

The incident woke up millions to the alarming use of force against a reporter simply asking a question.

The incident was turned into one of the first major internet memes in history. The term which Meyer trademarked "Don't tase me bro!" took on a life of its own.

Andrew tells his story, the aftermath, the response an what it has led to in the ten years since it took place.

Andrew Meyer and I worked together temporarily as writers at We Are Change.

Andrew has written a new book due to be released soon by the name of "Don't Tase Me Bro! Real Questions, Fake News, And My Life As A Meme".

From the viral internet video followed by protests and international recognition, Andrew has done an excellent job breaking into the top echelon of independent reporting. With TheAndrewMeyer.com, We Are Change and now the work he does at Cernovich.com with the infamous Mike Cernovich, Andrew breaks down how he's been inspired by an obviously traumatic moment and the constant attacks by the left on him and so many others who share diverse opinions.

He's a truly interesting man. Agree with him or not, his work in media is captivating and his intent is to do good unto others in the face of attack dogs in the mainstream media and global governance.

We thank him for speaking with us!

Not sure why the picture isn't showing up on the preview. Tried a png file and a jpg file. Very strange. :/

I see it from my side. I haven't seen the don't tase me bro video before and I can't belive people were smiling while Andrew was being taken down for asking legit and important questions.

It was ritual mockery! The "phrase of the year" became "Don't tase me bro" and they played the clip EVERYWHERE of him saying that, but nothing else. And mindless Amurika laughed and laughed... We all assumed he deserved it somehow. I am ashamed to admit it was years later that I finally saw the rest of the clip, I was among the assuming asses at the time.
