"Age of disinformation" like Iraq WMDs? The very recent deportation targets? Questionable chemical attack? The list is rather long, but I would say that the UK gov. slings around a fair bit of it. They are just so incompetent at it like much of what they do.
UK is considered to have one of the best secret services in the world, second only to Israel. But how stupid the politicos are can't be underestimated at all, no matter how naive. It's embarrassing.
