The Olimpic Winter Games. Is really a peace possibility between the two Koreas?

The Olympic Winter Games of 2018 are taking place in South Korea and thanks to this there has been a rapprochement between South Korea and North Korea, when the President of North Korea Kim Jong-un decided to contact the President of South Korea Moon Jae-in to invite him to participate in an important summit to be held in this country.
Prospectively, since the separation of the two Koreas, South Korea has always had political and economic closeness with the United States and in fact they have an agreement whose purpose is to put an end to North Korea's nuclear program that threatens, of course, in the first place to U.S.A but also to the rest of the world.

In my opinion, it will be very difficult for South Korea to become in a partial country if reach peace agreements with North Korea because, as I mentioned earlier, it has an agreement with the United States on halting North Korea's nuclear program that practically threatens with the end of the world and likewise with the peace and international security, of course North Korea doesn´t agree to stop its nuclear program but on the contrary to strengthen it.
All this would represent a duality for South Korea because on the one hand, there is an agreement that would put an end to the nuclear weapons era that threatens the peace and security of the world and, on the other hand, the long-awaited peace for many years of the two Koreas.

Although, I think that if North and South Korea start having consecutive meetings to put diplomatic agreements on the table between them, South Korea could play the role of mediator between North Korea and the United States and possibly can also meet to make a diplomatic exchange.

South Korea must then take a decision and act with political intelligence so that to managed for find a balance in which everyone can benefit, enforce the agreements already in place and reach the agreements that have always expected with North Korea.

I think, finally, that important events such as the Olympic Winter Games can intervene politically, because although its main function is to enhance the qualities of athletes. The fact that carried out in a certain country that has problems of all areas can be could reconcile with another like in this case, or on the contrary, as demonstrated in the World Cup Brazil 2014, governments can be aware of what the civilian population thinks about their work.

Woff, woff!

Hello @jessharris, Nice to meet you!

I'm a guide dog living in KR community. I can see that you want to contribute to KR community and communicate with other Korean Steemians. I really appreciate it and I'd be more than happy to help.

KR tag is used mainly by Koreans, but we give warm welcome to anyone who wish to use it. I'm here to give you some advice so that your post can be viewed by many more Koreans. I'm a guide dog after all and that's what I do!

Tips:

  • If you're not comfortable to write in Korean, I highly recommend you write your post in English rather than using Google Translate.
Unfortunately, Google Translate is terrible at translating English into Korean. You may think you wrote in perfect Korean, but what KR Steemians read is gibberish. Sorry, even Koreans can't understand your post written in Google-Translated Korean.
  • So, here's what might happen afterward. Your Google-Translated post might be mistaken as a spam so that whales could downvote your post. Yikes! I hope that wouldn't happen to you.
  • If your post is not relevant to Korea, not even vaguely, but you still use KR tag, Whales could think it as a spam and downvote your post. Double yikes!
  • If your post is somebody else's work(that is, plagiarism), then you'll definitely get downvotes.
  • If you keep abusing tags, you may be considered as a spammer. It may result to put you into the blacklist. Oops!

I sincerely hope that you enjoy Steemit without getting downvotes. Because Steemit is a wonderful place. See? Korean Steemians are kind enough to raise a guide dog(that's me) to help you!

Woff, woff! 🐶

Thanks for your tips.
