Ceausecu was an oppressive dictator. He also gave them chronic food shortages by exporting Romania's food harvest to pay off debts he created, and gave Romania a standard of living that was at the very bottom of the former Soviet Bloc. It was those very projects you speak of that drove their standard of living to the bottom.
Maybe ... but romanian people no have jobs, no money and need to work for $ 300 / month .Smart people how eliminate Ceausescu have billions $$$ and Romanians is just gypsy how must work in another country to live.
