 Angie and Germany. Quo vadis? Chancellor Angela Merkel won a fourth term in office. She will have to build an uneasy coalition to form a German government. Anti-immigration Alternative for Germany (AfD) won 13 per cent of the vote. This brings a far-right party into parliament for the first time in more than half a century.   

 Saw an excellent post on Reddit that nicely summed up why the AFD did so well.  

 When anything that disagrees with your views is labelled as "omg literal Nazi", don't expect open and rational debate, expect people to voice their frustrations in the voting booth. 

  I don't believe most people voting for the AFD support their more extreme views, but with an open door undocumented migration policy in place, including from many countries with no active wars, the discussion of which automatically makes you a "racist xenophobic nazi" well, how is this result even surprising?
