A, "new national pride"

So when do the rallies start? When do we start assembling upon the Washington Mall as banners fly? This guy is starting to really scare me. A, "new national pride", just because he was sworn in? Often in our history we have been captured by the cult of personality. This seems to instead be a cult ,"enforced by" , a personality.

Pride? I have pride in the assembly of our nation. I admire our people in so many ways. I have a sense of brotherhood with the populous. Our people are the soul and true virtue of this enterprise. It is not merely the stature of one man who is ensconced in a gilded chamber. It would seem great hubris that he tells us how honored we are, or should be.

I feel as a citizen that we may be at great peril. We have lost our sight. Are we still that bright light shining on a hill, a beacon of freedom? What moral place do we have in the world? Such blindness to the real human condition because of dogmatic idealism that exceeds reason.

This bred an election that offered candidates that are probably less than what most of us wanted. Myopic focus helped us to believe that a person of no character whatsoever represented our values. We voted for candidates who were often elected as the lesser of two evils or the guy/gal that you hated less.

A President's biggest impact is when he inspires the populous to achieve great things. When he superimposes his vanity over the top of this mission along with calls of nationalism beware.

Review history. This man is giving us people to hate. He is trying to inspire nationalism to make us feel personally empowered. Opposing this enemy to make our country great again? It is already great. Our people can be amazing and inspiring. He seems to constantly speak from a place of, "alternative facts". Has suggested to increase armament of the most devastating portions of our arsenal. At this moment stands in opposition to
the emoluments clause. He has called the media an enemy.

What historical figures come to mind when think of those who have proclaimed and done similar things?

Surely you do not have the names of Lincoln, Washington, FDR, Kennedy going through your head.
