Thoughts on Politics

Politicians.

We can't condemn one or the other, and we can't offhandedly condemn them all.

We can disregard all politics as being irrelevant to truth.

Deliberate and calculated deception exists everywhere, and whether we agree with an idea or not is no indication of truth.

Whether a belief is mainstream, widespread or popular holds no value either.

If it makes sense, and notable people believe it, that's a good enough truth test for most.

Truth must be painstakingly and continuously sought, found often in obscure places.

How far down the rabbit hole must one go?

It can be dark and lonely down there.

It's easier to dismiss ideas on simple grounds or through innocent off-the-cuff remarks.

Misinformation and disinformation is everywhere, in all media, on and offline.

It takes too much time and effort to sort through it all.

There is an endless glut of information.

It's much easier to accept or dismiss an idea on a gut feeling than investigate it through to the end.

We've been indoctrinated into false belief systems since birth.

It's far too difficult to wipe the slate clean for a fresh and clear perspective.

Most of us feel we have a fairly reliable pipeline to truth.

Digging deep is just not worth it.

No political leader is worthy to follow.

The only politics remaining is the politics of putting an end to politics, and that is a fruitless effort as it will inevitably destroy itself.
