Details of attack:

Syrian forces have some of villages in east of Euphrates river they captured from IS, last year. According to some reports prior to that attack approximately 500 fighters from Pro-Assad Syrian forces & other groups gathered in these villages of Khasham sub-district at east bank of the river to attack SDF (Kurd) held near by strategic Conico gas fields of Tabiyeh. According to some reports US officials contacted to Russian officials regarding attack reports but Russian officials answered that these are regular activities. Then at midnight The Syrian army convoy with dozens of tanks and army vehicles attacked Kurd and US base near gas field. US soldiers call in for airstrikes and US led coalition bombed this attacking convoy destroying more than 20% attacking forces. More than 100 Syrian and Iranian forces were killed and dozens of army vehicles including tanks were destroyed in 3-hour long battle.

U.S. counter-attack in Syria included Air Force AC-130 gunships, F-15s, F-22s, Army Apache helicopter gunships and Marine Corps artillery killing 100 Russian and Assad-backed fighters in 3-hour battle beginning around midnight last night.

Now revealed that Syrian and Iranian forces didn't tell Russian officials about attack because US and Russia have hidden deal about "de-confliction" line east of Euphrates river and that any violating force will be bombed. That's why Russia distancing itself from Syrian-Iranian forces move against US forces in Syria. There are also reports of private Russian contractors' involvement in this operation but not confirmed.

Why fight between US-Kurd alliance and Syrian-Iranian forces happened?

In 2014, when ISIS captured large desert areas around Euphrates river after defeating rebels, ISIS took control most of the Syrian oil and gas resources who's revenue not even strengthen groups power in Iraq and Syria but it also help ISIS to spread its activities around the globe. Most interesting fact is that ISIS sell oil and gas to the same local powers and governments to whom it was fighting but of course they deny it.
ISIS announced its fake caliphate in mid 2014 and then attacked Kurd territories like the city of Kobani in Syria and capital of Iraqi Kurdistan Irbeel city. After these adventures US and its allies made a coalition to defeat IS and they made YPG dominant Kurd group of SDF(Syrian democratic forces) in Syria, helped Iraqi Kurd, Peshmarga forces, Iraqi government & its allied sectarian groups and also supported some pro-US rebel faction who agreed to stop fight against Syrian forces and then a large scale campaign against IS started in both Syria and Iraq. After continuous fight for dozens of months, IS was expelled from most of its territories and US-led coalition with its ground allies succeeded in this campaign.

Race for oil & gas:

Then the remaining problem was rich oil and gas resources in Syria and Iraq. Kurd were most pure allies of US in the campaign against IS but when Iraqi governments and its allied sectarian groups launched
offensive against Kurd held cities of Kirkuk and other Kurd areas of rich oil and gas resources after Kurd referendum last year, US didn't respond to the situation and Kurd failed to protect their large areas.

last month, Turkey also started its "Olive Branch" offensive against Kurd YPG groups in Syrian enclave of Afrin and US announced that they have nothing to do with Afrin. Kurd groups are now trying to defend the attack from Turk forces and pro-Turk FSA rebel groups. Now as US abandoned them in both Iraq and Afrin, Russia trying to help Kurd to win their hearts. The interesting fact is that Russia and Assad forces give supply routes to Kurd in Afrin and the same time Russia opened Syrian airspace for Turk air-force to attack Afrin.
Anyway, after these political moves and some other setbacks many experts were believing that US is slowly going to finish its presence and all activities in Syria. Syrian forces and its allied groups are trying to capture the areas west of Euphrates river & Der-el-Zour rich with oil and gas fields. First they tried to capture it from IS but Kurd groups of SDF took the lead over them and captured all of areas east of the Euphrates river.

Why US involved in this fight?

Actually US don't want to lose its Kurd allies to Russian and nor it want to lose any of oil and gas resources to any other party. Not a single power including US is going to finish its presence in Syria because of its strategic importance in future conflicts in middle-East. US has recently gave warning to Turkey to not interfere in any of US business in Syria.

source
Anyway, Kurd have to lose some areas to Turkey in near future because of US, Turkey and Russian deals about the region but a large area will remain under Kurd & US control and any attack on these territories will be answered by US forces. There is also a possibility of any major conflict between these powers because any of the small event can spark a fight but it doesn't seem to happen in near future because Russia, US, Iran and Turkey have no need to fight each other as they have their own proxy groups who will fight for their backers. The small or medium groups with their own intentions or few independence groups can also create a problem for these powerful countries as IS did and all countries have to fight it. Syrian conflict is very very complex conflict and we can't understand it only by one event, incident and also can't fully understand the nature of this war through an article, image or video.

I hate see people are still fighting for governments. Why can’t we live in peace mutually respecting each other. So many greedy people in this world

That's what I also hate. They try to use us like tissue paper :(

I think everyone's duty to take this human race forward. Its 2018 and we've all the tools but humans are too easy to be manipulated. GREED and FEAR lives inside most of us.

You are right humans are too easy to be manipulated and that's why we all are suffering. Yeah "greed" and "fear" are our worst enemies because under their effect we have no idea what we are doing. Every one should try to educate him/herself and others about these things so that we can live with peace and harmony.

I quite agree. All power corrupts. It reminds me of Wilfred Own's poem At A Calvary Near The Ancre on the horrors of senseless violence carried out in the name of a government or belief system.

Thanks for the well researched article. The real motives behind the actions of the different actors in this conflict are never reported on by the mainstream media.
The U.S. has failed to overthrow the Assad government but is now using the Kurds a s a proxy force to help partition the country. This will also have the effect of denying the Syrian government access to much of its oil and gas resources. No doubt the United States is also hoping that this will help contain Iranian influence within Syria. A bit too late I am afraid!

Thanks a lot for stopping by dear @saltycat. I just checked your blog and realized that you are doing amazing work in this field. I am looking forward to more in the future. Only one advice i would like to give you here that understand them because these powers have their own selfish motives and materialistic goals, that's why they are fighting. I try to give actual situation on my blog. I have no sympathy for any power or group rather I have only hate for these powers, groups, states and organizations according to their crimes.

Thank you for your kind words. I am rather moved by them. I quite agree. It is a tragedy that so many innocent people have died for conflicting religious and political beliefs. Left to to the different powers involved there will be nothing left of Syria just one giant heap of rubble and a mountain of dead bodies. Keep up the good work of spreading truth and opposing injustice in all its many forms.

Thanks a lot my friend for your sincere feelings and understanding my opinion ♥.
