Medicine to cure invasion resistance....
Mongols had the decency to at least be honest about it when they invaded some territory i.e. they didn't stand around trying to keep their faces straight while claiming to be "refugees(TM)". The idea of claiming to have achieved a scientific breakthrough and discovered some new medicine to help victims feel better about being invaded most likely never occurred to them.
