How do bad people spend large sums of money?

in #politics4 years ago

Aside from stories about George Soros simply handing a quarter of a billion dollars to BLM, recent articles claim that corporations are making large donations including a claim of Walmart handing them something like a hundred million. I think it's safe to assume they have no intention of spending that money on bibles.

100M would buy three or four hundred thousand AKs if somebody were to buy them in bulk quantity directly from Izhevsk or Molot or some such, but there is another possibility.

http://www.roe.ru is Rosoboronexport, the export combine for Russian arms manufacturers.

The thing I'd sort of like to have if somebody could convince George Soros to give me a couple of million dollars for some sort of a shopping spree for hunting equipment would be the little NONA-SVK self-propelled 120mm gun. Sept 15, there would be Bambi and all of his friends walking out of the woods with white flags and their hands up....

That was listed as around $600,000 in 2012 and there hasn't been much inflation since then. I'd guess you could buy at least 100 of them for 100M.

The only other thing somebody would need aside from money would be an airport adjacent to but hostile to the United States where somebody could be bribed sufficiently to let stuff like that in, but that might not really be much of a problem as one would assume that places like Portland Oregon and Seattle have airports...

The SVK in NONA-SVK probably stands for Самаходная ВинтовКа (self-propelled rifle) or something like that, not sure what the NONA part stands for.
