I would make sure the two positions both stand up to scrutiny and make sure both ideas are right. If they are both right and still run counter to eachother some would call it a conumdrum or singularity the likes of e=mc2 and you should publish it right away. Don't forget that CERN says they proved that an atom with measurable mass can move faster than light, so even Einstien can be wrong about things like that. Maybe go back the drawing board and reconsider if one point may not be right after all.
