When I give my kids their required social studies lessons I stick with the ideas expressed by Orwell and the like. My hope is my children never get stuck in a left wing cult serving pig masters because they know better.
That's a really cool way to teach kids freedom vs authoritarian powers. George manages to create a book easy to understand - not completely - for kids.
It's a must I should say. I'm so glad that you teach the kids the right way! Nonetheless don't forget they still have to see some content from the lefts so that they learn to be objective based on the two sides :)
It's great when they see far left ideology on full display. Kids ask the most honest questions, like why is that man in a dress for instance, and have a good eye for nonsense. I suppose that only rings true if they are taught to think right out f the gate so to speak though.
