Speculation: Hillary is a Demon, Donald is a Minion

Hillary Clinton is a Demon

I mean Hillary Clinton is literally the worst woman in American. She would throw anyone under the bus so see could win. She watched as Bill Clinton raped hundreds of innocent young women in office. What an evil person. She is super corrupt and wants to start World War III.

I have heard all of these claims before. For the first claim, clearly women who have murdered their own children or women who have become serial killers don't compare to Hillary Clinton. Sure, their acts are criminal, but with speculation, Hillary is clearly worse. She is responsible for the hundreds of young women that Bill Clinton raped. Not Bill Clinton, but she is personally. Despite there being no definitive evidence for this. Is Hillary Clinton the nicest lady in the world? No. But she isn't a demon and I believe that she cares about people although at times she may appear to be egotistical and self-centered.

Donald Trump is Putin's Minion

Clearly Russia interfered to win the election for Donald Trump. Putin hates Hillary and knows he can control Donald. Trump colluded with Russians and committed treason. Donald Trump should be impeached. The dude is crazy, and colluded with Russia. Russia is the bad guy, remember? Donald Trump is so dumb and Putin probably controls America right now. Donald Trump and Russia are sitting in a tree. Did I mention Russia yet?

Donald Trump does have connections with Russia. Miss Universe was held in Moscow in 2013. But talking to Russians is not an illegal activity. Do these previous contacts with Russians look a little suspicious? Yes. Fine. Mention the thing once and then tell everyone that you don't have concrete evidence about Donald Trump colluding with the Russians. But we don't need to speculate 24/7. We should care about laws that affect us, not about Donald and Russia. Yes, you can talk about the Donald Trump Jr. story. But stop speculating and wasting our time on these unimportant news stories when we could focus on something important. If relevant evidence is presented, then you can talk about that. But you're turning people into morons. I do not support Donald Trump. He is self centered and egotistical like Hillary.

How to Report Political News

The first thing is to make a claim. Usually you want your claims to be framed in a way that is most relevant to the audience and informs their decisions about themselves. Example: Wells Fargo is committing fraud against its customers. You report that Wells Fargo committed a crime and that the crime was fraud.

Next, to be fair to anyone that may be negatively affected by the claim, you must support it. Otherwise you are speculating and committing character assassination for no good reason. Maybe Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are saints. But I wouldn't know that through the news. So, in the case of Wells Fargo, you must provide evidence that they committed fraud. Things like statistics and documents are useful as evidence. First hand accounts are okay, but clearly some bias may exist in these cases, making those other sources more desirable than first hand accounts. Especially in politics where everyone else an angle.

Use objective facts. People can try and deny this, but they just look like fools. Unfortunately, the media relies too much on speculation to build narratives. Because of this reliance on speculation rather than claim-evidence based argument, people have a natural distrust of media. Thus in those brief moments where the media provides evidence people will dispose this evidence because they don't trust media. Not good!

TLDR: Defecation through the mouth is not a good idea. Keep your mouth happy and healthy. Use evidence!
