Houthis Begin Attacks on Saudi Oil Infrastructure -- New Stage of War

The Saudis bloody and bloodthirsty war in Yemen is unraveling at breakneck speed. The latest report from Zerohedge makes it clear that the Houthi rebels in Yemen are taking their resistance to the next level. And anything that disrupts the Saudis to deliver oil to international markets is the ultimate level of escalation geopolitically.

Iran will be demonized here for giving the Houthis support and will only further intensify the White House's "biggest state sponsor of terrorism" rhetoric. It is, however, plainly obvious to anyone following the events in Yemen that the Saudis, with U.S., U.K. and Israeli backing, are the aggressors in this conflict.

But, logic doesn't matter when you are the global hegemon looking to shore up a failing international price-fixing system for the price of oil.

If the Houthis are successful in actually crippling vital Saudi oil production infrastructure -- refineries, pumping stations, etc. -- then this little war of Mohammed bin Salman's will hasten the House of Saud's decline.

The Saudis are teetering on the verge of insanity and have been, like Israel, in reaction mode to the huge changes happening in the region since the Russians entered Syria in 2015 and, along with Iran and Hezbollah, stabilized the Assad government there.

That's because Sudanese mercenaries went home after getting their heads handed to them. The coalition is in trouble and if containment is truly breached about how deep we are involved in trying to save the Saudis' necks in Yemen it will backfire on Trump et.al.

And that's when the domestic uprising in eastern Saudi Arabia could begin. That's where the oil fields are and where most of the Shi'ites live.

If the Houthis have their own ballistic missile production system then if they stop bombing Riyadh and begin bombing Aramco assets for real, the whole Trumpian gambit to secure the Middle East for Israel and Saudi Arabia collapses.
