I used to consider myself a liberal.... WTF!

in #politics6 years ago

Great Parody I found that explains the situation perfectly!

College is back in session once again and I have found myself deep into books and essays and debates lately. But probably the most interesting part of my education, is that I am taking a philosophy class that has somehow become political... Weird.

Because of this philosophy class hitting on tough subjects like abortion, immigration, and basically anything else you could through into the moral realm it has somehow evolved into political debates nearly every class time. This in itself has ignited my burning fire for politics, because I have dearly realized that, being a prime aged citizen within the upcoming controlling generation of my country - I want to have a voice.
Turns out I am not alone on this feeling... Turns out - Everyone wants a voice AND to be heard

But during some of these heated debates I have realized that there seems to be 2 types of people that have wildly different approaches to being heard.

  • People who like to have a conversation about a sensitive topic and reach some group understanding
  • People who get upset, yell, And make you hear them. Effectively embarrassing the person yelling (Love that!)

Anyways, It also turns out many of these people yelling there viewpoints are making completely rediculous claims and as a tactic, also insult anyone who disagrees with them.
Racist and White Entitlement have been thrown out there if you disagree with some bullshit.

I really get pissed when I hear those 2 words.

I am white. I have black friends. I have saved a drowning and overdosing black man from the depth of 12ft pool without a single thought about skin color and never received a thank you from anybody (Except, I did walk by a little black boy who sincerely thought I was a hero, which I must say was probably one of the best feelings I have ever had.)

Anyways, after being in this class for the past month I have seemingly become politically motivated to determine where I actually fall on the spectrum.
In the past, basically up until about a month ago, I considered myself a socialist leaning liberal. A type of default based upon minimum research and basic stupidity. I really used to buy into the socialist arguments about economic redistribution to some extent and all those liberal concepts really sounded to be "GOOD".
I mean, who wouldn't want the world to be more happier and diverse and full of equality???

Well, I soon realized that in wanting the world to be that way, there are extremely different approaches that people want and ultimately do not agree on.
I also soon realized that the tree-hugging, Man-hating Feminists ideals, and always calling everyone racist or white supremacist who disagreed with me, was not how I wanted to approach this...
It took me 1 month - of interacting with these college liberal babies - to convert to the "Right" side, conveniently called the RIGHT, like a call to the truth and an end to backwards thinking.

In fact, I am starting to plunge off the deep end here listening to alt-right activists to the likes of Milo and Ben Shapiro.

I would assume my blog will represent my shift into the pollical realm for awhile, until I get bored of that!

If you have other great activists to suggest me watching, please feel free!

Oh, and Yeah.... I'm on board!
