President Trump Speaks To Congress
.
Washington (AFP) - President Donald Trump hailed the emergence of a "new national pride" in his maiden speech to Congress on Tuesday, pushing for tough immigration enforcement as the key to delivering jobs and security at home..
.
During a turbulent first 40 days in office, the new US president has doubled down on his vow to put "America First" --but has yet to translate his populist vision into legislative reality.
.
Well DUH!
.
- So far, the Senate has confirmed 14 of the 549 senior federal positions that President Trump needs to run the government and who need Senate confirmation—Cabinet secretaries and people who run the departments, bureaus, agencies and the rest of the government. The rest of the government is being run by career bureaucrats and a few Obama holdovers.
. - There are another 120 vacant federal judgeships and, of course, the Neil Gorsuch nomination to the Supreme Court. Each requires Senate approval.
.
Reckon THAT might have something to do with it?
.
This is an example of why. The news media is seditious. They have openly admitted that they will do everything in their power to cause trump to fail. Phrases such as but has yet to translate his populist vision into legislative reality. is an example of the never ending backstabbing that the news media engages in. They cannot say ONE thing about the President or his administration without being snide. The democrats are even worse. It does NOT matter what Trump says or does...it just wrong as far as they are concerned.
.
I watched his speech on the Communist BackStabbing Studios. I should have known better. Through out his speech they were working their video editing tricks. Then not ten seconds after the end of his speech the CBS announcer said (paraphrased) "he didn't refer to himself as many times as he normally does tonight". You see what they did here? They're planting the seed of doubt. They're inserting a meme in your mind. The are trying to make you think that he's a narcissist and everything is about him.
.
Oddly enough the news media didn't say that about Obama. Everyone else did because it was a self evident fact. The news media in the last eight years did everything in their power to PROTECT the president. Now they are doing the opposite. They're trying to bring him DOWN.
.
For example...here and here
.
Oddy enough...they are hurting their brand. - But when, as happened this year, so much of the media openly and willfully suspended the practice of separating news from opinion, they crossed a boundary of what’s rightly theirs and what’s ours. It’s our right and need to know about civic matters, fully, fairly and accurately, that is the public virtue in journalism and the sine qua non of democracy.
. - Although virtually all of the MSM violated this boundary in their frantic support of Clinton, some were worse than others. As is often the case, CNN led in this category, not only by the sheer breadth of their editorializing but by their role in passing on to the Clinton campaign, in advance, questions that were to be asked during the presidential debate hosted by that network.
.
The american voters seem willing to give the President a chance.
. - The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance.
.
Oddy enough they don't think too highly of the MSM - _ Americans reportedly trust the White House to tell them the truth more than the news media. A recent Fox News poll found that 45 percent trusted the Trump administration more to “tell the public the truth”_
.
The other day - A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 63% of American Adults believe most major news organizations are more concerned with getting a story first than with getting it right
.
Personally...I think the polls are wrong. I think the American people rate the news media worse than dog vomit.
