When these entities and people are happy then "We the people" should not be...

in #politics7 years ago

For more than a decade now I've known that if the media was trying to ram a political candidate into our minds as the one we should elect that I probably shouldn't vote for that person. This is if you, like me are not satisfied with status quo and how things have been going for some time. Likewise, if the media makes fun of someone and says things like they are unelectable that usually would inspire me to go check that person out a little closer. I'd spend quite a bit of time on votesmart.org, and other similar sites that have come and gone.

Yet it isn't just the news. There are some long time established politicians that when I see them dancing, happy, and pushing things I've noticed a pattern that such things will likely not be good for the public at all. Instead they will be good for that politician, and certain corporations are lobbying them.

I want to talk about these people.

I remember when President Donald Trump called for the cruise missile strike upon Syria in response to the alleged chemical gas attack by ISIS.

This was one of the few times I saw Senators John McCain (supposedly Republican) and Nancy Pelosi (Democrat) dancing and happy about something Trump did. They were very happy he attacked Syria.

Senator Lindsay Graham is another one of these people that if he likes something we should be wary. He is actually what inspired me to write this post. He is very happy about Trump's new announcement about Afghanistan.

These are not the only politicians I consider suspect, but these are politicians that seem to have a pattern of if they like something it ends up not being good for "We the people" yet they themselves increase their own wealth and power.

I am very much expecting Paul Ryan, and Chuck Schumer to pick up the mantle of some of these corrupt politicians as they age. They both give this impression at the moment, but it is too early to say with certainty they have a pattern. The politicians I did list have been office for so long that the pattern is very clear if people bother to look.

Some citizens claim to be anti-establishment, and many citizens claim to want to see change. Some how these people keep getting elected REGARDLESS of who is President. These are some of the actual figureheads of our "establishment" for the past 30 years. They may be part of the beginning of one of the slippery slopes that lead to many of our current problems.

Sort:

I hope the Democrats keep all their old timers around for 10 more years. They are provably crooks and thoroughly despicable. The more press time they get, the less the American people will want to vote Democrat.

I hope the Republicans get rid of a lot of their detris and old timers who have worn out their welcome and need to shuffle off and do something else. Trump is willing to take on these old guard in the Republican party, and try to push them out. Full speed ahead !!! To a new, improved, better Republican party.

And to clarify, I am not a member of the Republican party and never intend to be. BUT, they seem to have a much better chance of getting closer into alignment with my views, than the Socialists on Democrat party have any hope of adopting positions that I would resonate with

I hate people who think they are above everything.

Welcome to the 21st century.

The Republican party has become quite liberal, in my opinion. There are very few true Constitutional conservatives holding office anymore :/

That's why it was so refreshing to see Trump get elected. It was serious change in Washington. Whether for the better we will have to wait and see. But it certainly would have been the same old bullshit if Clinton had won. And it won't be hard for Trump to do better than that. He probably already has.

We seriously need term limits.

Or perhaps they anticipated your reaction, and thought, "If the Americans get Clinton, they'll be pissed off. So let's give them an "underdog" to root for."

So they give you Trump, the media pretends to hate him, while making more money than ever before off the controversy, and you still have all the same old laws as always.

I couldn't agree more about term limits. Maximum of 2 terms and no lifetime benefits or pay afterwords.

One democrat and one republican at a time; that way it's bi-partisan

I'm just kidding; I only said it on my private FB page; a hacker did this; the Russians did it; I am seeking forgiveness; my statement was taken out of context

(also have some assasination stuff up; not the decap blog I promised you, but source material)

Just looking at those faces their expressions seem so fake...

Yeah this generation has some odd expressions which I expect people to fix. This generation is new still. I am suspecting Mass Effect Adromeda may have used this before it was released... why? victoria 8 looks a lot like some andromeda figures, and it had screwy facial expressions too. :)

EDIT: LOL - I thought we were still talking about The Daz3D posts.... Forget all of this.... though I am leaving it because it is funny to imagine these jerks as being fake simulated people.

Lolll, I was really thinking wtf are you talking about xD What has a game to do with those people, and new generation, huh :P Hahaha

All Politicians are horrible.

No, some are trying to do a good job to help the people that elected them. But MANY are horrible

I agree with you.

The vast majority are horrible. I think the good ones can be counted on one hand..maybe two at most.

Oh and that's worldwide.. in the US I would say less than a handful.

Looks like these are the people that make sure thing go as they are supposed to go, no matter who sits in the Oval Office.
Last year, when I was trying to figure out Trump I looked to see if neo-cons supported him or not. I was happy to see that a guy like Paul Wolfowitz was voting for Hillary.

Yes, Hillary is very much a neo-con. The neo-cons infiltrated both parties. Once you've studied them enough you see their policies at work in both parties.

you really put some work in this :) weel I am from belgium and try to follow usa politics a little so thanks alot!

Right on! People need to start picking up on these hints. Question everything, and use critical thinking.. do not blindly follow any polticians or mainstream media because they all have an agenda.
