RE: No Bullets Fly

in #politics7 years ago

War has become a video game. The enemy is no longer a human being shred apart by explosions or penetrated by shrapnel. The first Iraqi war was a prelude to the art of masking the horror. Today, the mainstream media shows nothing but some drone with cross-hair targeting some building or a convoy and pooof, a little smoke on the screen. No blast noise, no human screams, just a dot on the drone's screen, operated from the comfort of an operation center somewhere thousands of miles away. War is not war, war is propaganda perfected.

P.S. that youtube video is unavailable.

Dehumanizing the enemy has always been a key part of war, but people have certainly gotten good at it.

The video must be regionally blocked. It's still available for me.
