South-Africa: 5 reasons Zuma must go.

in #politics7 years ago (edited)

It saddens me to say, but much of the world does not realise the scope of the rot that Jacob Zuma has allowed to permeate South-African society. I would like to give 5 reasons why Zuma must fall pending a vote of no confidence. This is to raise awareness...

1. Influenced by third parties.

South-Africa is currently buzzing with the e-mail scandal we had regarding allegations of State Capture. With the e-mail leak, thousands of documents containing evidence of political manoeuvring by the Gupta family to take control of key state departments.

2. Appointing unqualified MPs

Over his time in office, Zuma has made very many cabinet shuffles to consolidate his position. This often meant appointing weak and corrupt individuals that will serve Zuma. Often with little power but huge paychecks...

3. Allowed the spread of corruption

Last year, when the DA took over a few Metro's, major schemes were uncovered from the granting of tenders to unqualified people to paying R35 000 ( $3200) per light bulb. Since then, the uncovering of these operations have started to come to light in other metros.

4. Mismanaged cabinet

The biggest joke in the country is still Mr. 'Weekend Special' David van Rooyen. Jacob Zuma was not getting his way with, then Finance minister, Nhlanhla Nene so he replaced him out of nowhere on a Friday. Our currency collapsed and the outcry was huge, so Zuma replaced him on Monday with Pravin Gordhan.

Gordhan has since been replaced and we have gone into a recession as well as been declared 'Junk' status...

5. Evading justice.

The worst of all this is that Jacob Zuma is currently facing 783 corruption charges. Not to mention all the state resources he has used to enrich himself and his family.

So bad, Africa is not in short supply of bad leaders.

The good ones are there. They just need to be recognised.

One reason why he won't be going anywhere: The people who support and vote for him are fucking braindead.

I used to think so. But can we say the same of the Hitler youth? Blame the indoctrinator and elevate the indoctrinated...

I try as hard as I can to speak to these people. Sometimes a rational conversation is all they need...
