The Truth About Palestine

in #politics6 years ago (edited)

As the new Embassy opens in Jerusalem, and chaos ensues in the region, the media takes this as an opportunity to grossly misrepresent Israel and the Palestinian conflict, and to criticize President Trump and single out her daughter. Steve Schmidt, a republican campaign strategist reports "...He's bumbling around and he destabilized with this rash move the Middle East and as I said when he announced the move to the embassy there will be blood on his hands not because he pulled the trigger but because he destabilized the region without having any clue about what he was doing and that goes for Jared Kushner as well." ...Blood on his hands? Destabilizing the region? How can President Trump possibly be thrown under the bus? Why is Ivanka Trump being criticized for her presence? The truth is very simple. The Palenstine/Israel conflict began back in the 1930s. Since the dispute began, the UN and Israel have made numerous attempts to peacefully resolve this. I will elaborate a little bit further and then list my source. For the past several years the Israeli government has been trying to negotiate with Palestinian leaders with no pre-conditions and the Palestinians continue to refuse. (Summarized pg 97, Trumped Up by Alan Dershowitz). Sadly, mainstream media manages to make everything an anti-Trump platform, regardless of how wrong their facts are.Sign-to-US-Embassy-in-Israel.jpg

@doll-talk Good post. What about the media lambasting Ivanka for attending the Embassy opening?

It was deplorable. She was present, confident, elegant and received criticism for being so well-composed while civil unrest is taking place nearby. She and Mr. Kushner did exactly what they needed to- provide a strong American presence at the opening of the US Embassy in a historically relevant city to both Jewish and Christian beliefs.
