What The Hell Is An Incel?

A Self-hate Hate Group

1. Trump is president. Bill Cosby is found guilty for rape. The Koreas stand closer to unification. And an increasingly bizarre subculture named ‘incels’ inspire a man to run a van into a crowd, murdering ten people and critically wounding sixteen.

His last message on Facebook?

“The Incel Rebellion has already begun! We will overthrow all the Chads and Stacys! All hail the Supreme Gentleman Elliot Rodger!”

Elliot Rodger

Elliot Rodger was a 22 year old failure/murderer and remains a hero to Incels. In 2014, he attempted his murder spree, killing seven and injuring fourteen. His motive lies in a poorly written manifesto, summarized in a Youtube video where he states:

“Tomorrow is the day of retribution, the day in which I will have my revenge against humanity, against all of you. For the last eight years of my life, ever since I hit puberty, I've been forced to endure an existence of loneliness, rejection and unfulfilled desires all because girls have never been attracted to me. Girls gave their affection, and sex and love to other men but never to me.”

The hero of Incels, the ‘involuntarily celibate’, was a fuckboi who bitched that he couldn’t have sex. Alek Minassian, apparently, follows in his footsteps. If we take him at his own words, his call to Elliot Rodger was an identification with the self-hate hate group of Incels.

Coterie of the Abject

Incel ideology is has at least three parts to it.

First, it's misogyny rooted in male-entitlement.

Second, it’s a psychological immersion of slave-mentality.

Third, it’s a self-validation through misunderstood science. These elements become operative in an environment of moribund capitalism.

In a word, they’re fuckbois.

Crybabies Wanting Sex

The male-entitlement lies at the beginning of their ideology. Whether by rejection, or frustration, their narrative of ‘celibacy’ is rooted in a victimization and blaming of women for their lack of sex. Because they base their self-identity on their ability, or lack of one, to have intercourse, they abject themselves, compare themselves to shit. The presupposition is that they deserve sex, that it belongs to them, and that women are ‘roasties’ for not giving them sex. The term ‘roastie’ is an infantile slang term for a woman’s vagine, which they compare to roast beef.

Male-entitlement is pathetic, and here it stands in it stands bare and translucent for the world to see. One can’t help but compare their expectation to pornography, which lies ready to stimulate the brain at a click of the button. These losers expect the same from women, mainly, to be pleased and validated through sex, simply because they will it to be. When this doesn’t happen, they bitch and complain, succumbing to victimization.

It's typical of people of want the benefits of leadership, without wanting to do the work. They want to be considered 'captain of the ship' but then bitch about having the responsibility.

Master/Slave

Here it’s helpful to use Nietzsche’s concept of master/slave psychology. Whereas the master, or the strong and powerful wills itself to be, exercises its will freely without concern for those weaker than it, the slave hates anything that is powerful. These incels are slaves, a psychological mindset they willingly promote among themselves. Indeed, they uphold this weakness of mind as their sole asset. To the Incel, the Master are women. Where the women has the power of rejection, denying sex, the Incel crawls on its hands and knees, festering resentment.

Resentment is the single description of Incels. Like the Alt-Right, which bitch and moan against their strawman of ‘PC Culture’, Incels resent women for their capacity to deny them. Because these fuckbois place all their self-value on sex, that rejection becomes an abjection. They cannot stand on their own legs. They need to the affirmation of sex to consider themselves a ‘man’.

Pseudoscience

Conspiracy theories get a new footing with the internet. Trump’s election promoted the phrase ‘fake news’, which conspiracy theorists and other idiots use to validate their own pseudoscientific (or just ignorant) ideas. Anything that doesn’t conform to their own assumptions is just ‘fake news’. They pick and choose what fits their narrative, whether its aliens fucking in the pyramids to reptilians fucking humans and making Asian people (perhaps the most racist of all the ones I’ve read).

This same unscientific method is what Incels use to justify their own resentment and toxic masculinity. They call themselves ‘Betas’. You see this garbage on 4chan all the time. It comes from a scientific research by David Mech. Basically, the alpha of the group is the ‘top dog’. Betas exist in a social rank below it. Of course, those fixated on social hierarchies and their justification readily accepted this explanation of social grouping, pointing to pack animals like wolves. This, despite the fact that Mech has formally disavowed his own research.

Mech’s theories, which, again, he no longer believes are scientifically sound, remain typical of bad science. They anthropomorphize nature. It’s no different from Greek mythology. It’s taking concepts drawn from the human world, which are false, transfixing them on nature, wolf packs, then using this to justify those original concepts as biologically innate. It’s self-justifying, teleological thinking. And the Incels eat it up. So do Alt-Right fascists, only in the sphere of race.

Incels see themselves as ‘Betas’ because of their sexual inadequacy. “Chads” and “Stacys” are normal people who can have healthy, sexual relationships. They use the faulty framework to justify their own ideology.

Capitalism Makes It Worse

Rodger seethed in this enviroment. Minassian sought out his own death in Toronto, inspired by this ideology. It’s an anti-woman hate ideology that promotes murder and mutilation. These fucking losers are calling for acid attacks on women around the world.

As wehuntedthemammoth states:

“Many in the media and in politics are unwilling to label attacks driven by misogynistic ideology as terrorism — often declaring them to be simply the result of “mental illness,” as many did in the case of Elliot Rodger’s murders (ignoring his hundred page manifesto), and as the authorities are already doing in the Toronto attacks.”

It’s important to note that this inadequacy is not real, that these people take it on themselves in a masochistic gesture. They could be healthy human beings. But they’re not. And they go down a path that could be avoided. Capitalism makes it worse. Economic crisis and an inability to get a job, or have meaningful social interactions outside work or those mediated through payments, promote alienation. This alienation is another element that Incel ideology feeds on.

Wealth disparity promotes the idea that there are successful men out there, the ‘Alphas’ that can support themselves and a family, where the ‘Betas’ remain poor and without women. Economic inequality is inherent to capitalism. This inequality fuels Incel ideology. Capitalism fuels Incels.

Conclusion

As with other useless discussions over male violence against women, no effective solutions are discussed. The problem isn’t women refusing sex. The problem lies with men themselves. Toxic masculinity places self-value on the ability to have sex, instead of being a healthy and strong person. Instead of promiscuity, masculinity needs to be defined by men’s capacity to grow and heal. Incel ideology is a symptom of an infantile understanding of what it means to be a man. Men the world over need to take this responsibility to change this. Again, the problem has nothing to do with women.

And in the meantime, if these fucking losers are calling for acid attacks on women, they should just do us all a favor and kill themselves.
