An alternative universe where America is Democracy

Imagine an America where you weren't made to feel impotent and instead you actually had a say no matter how you lived your life Rich or Poor.

America's system is broken and I don't have all the answers but here are some.

1. Look at existing democracies (Finland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, New Zealand) and look at everything that is good and everything that is bad.

2. Introduce Compulsory Voting for All Citizens 18 and Over (I know many won't like this, but it will add legitimacy to the population's vote)

3. Introduce Rank Choice Voting
   *Where you can vote 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. for your preferred candidate instead of the so called "Lesser Evil"

4. Introduce Mixed Member Proportional
   *Where you make 2 votes.
   i) Vote is for your preferred member for your electorate.
   ii) Vote is for your preferred party
   Please look at videos online about MMP (Germany and New Zealand use this electoral system)
   MMP allows everyone's voice to have real weight in the electoral process.

5. Introduce Mandatory Voter Registration for Citizens on their 18th Birthday.

6. Eliminate Electronic Voting Machines and Return to Paper Ballots
   (no matter how smart you think you are, computers can always be hacked and Democracy is too vital for it to be left so vulnerable)

7. Reform the Constitution

8. Eliminate The Archaic Military Industrial Complex
   Pull out of the Nation States America's Military Occupies that it has no need (to protect actual and imminent threats to America) to be in.

Imagine the democratic system in America was actually democratic.
Just travel to Finland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland and/or New Zealand to get a taste of what democracy actually is.
