This takes race baiting to a new level and shows that there are psychopaths pressing the most sensitive racial buttons on all sides. The article is about 55 year old Andrew King who confessed to faking a hate crime:
King, who will turn 55 on Friday, pleaded guilty last week to falsely reporting an incident, a misdemeanor. He will receive three years of probation at his Oct. 24 sentencing by City Court Judge Robert Hoffman.
Is this where America is at? There are people in this country who will falsely accuse complete strangers of crimes which could ruin lives for attention? This to me is as bad as falsely accusing someone of rape.

Unfortunately this sort of false-flag "hate crime" is all too common. The reason stems from the outrage culture that plagues our nation. People are so geared up to be offended and outraged by something that some especially disturbed ones are driven to invent a situation to be offended and outraged by if none are at hand.
And the consequences of such allegations are severe. You could lose your job, your career and even your family.
Can you tell me more about "outrage culture"? I never heard of the phrase before.
I didn't coin the term, but it describes the mindset of those who seek "safe spaces" from ideas they find strange or threatening, get "triggered" from speech or ideas that they find potentially offensive or upsetting, and see perceived value in parsing and putting into a hierarchy a checklist "historically oppressed groups" one can be slotted into based on race, gender, religion, or anything else they can imagine. For such a person, being "marginalized" or "oppressed" is a badge of honor and a status symbol. The people who fake these "hate crimes" no doubt feel entirely justified in doing so. They will argue that their fraud is irrelevant, since the "hate crimes" they fabricated are so widespread that any outrage generated by their fraud is deserved.
These kinds of incidents are far from uncommon, and it's sickening. People are so determined to prove that America is a hateful country, that when they can't find any real hate, they create it.
It's sick. It's degenerative. It's disgusting. And it needs to stop... So pissed off by nonsense like this.
I don't know if this is true or not, but I would wager that a significant portion, perhaps even half or more hate crimes, are fake. I don't want to believe it, but nut cases like this "prove" it to us every day...

There are people who don't care about themselves or humanity. But surprisingly they care about politics.
Being a victim is rewarded in American society. That is the sad fact. Whoever can most successfully play the victim card is the winner.
There are many examples of people faking miscellaneous crimes against themselves to elicit sympathy, money or protected status. Of course, this is also done out of spite and revenge.
For those accused of "hateful acts" the outcome is rarely fair or even-handed. The mob descends and rough justice is meted out. Whether the person is actually guilty of anything REAL is only an afterthought.
