RE: Political Theories on Human Nature

in #politics7 years ago

I am not sure any political theory actually believes humans are inherently good, though all do operate on the premise that under certain conditions people will behave well and try to create those conditions. The political philosophy that relies the most on the inherent goodness of the individual is likely Voluntarism, which is frequently argued to be quite similar to anarcho-capitalism.

I like your narrative style and take on the left and right, well done!

Thanks for your kind words. I've concluded pretty much the same thing: that every political theory operates off the belief that people need to be governed and the only philosophies that view human nature in a positive light are antiauthoritarian, and antipolitical really, like classical liberalism, ancap, and voluntarism.
