COMMUNITY CULTURE - why we should invest more in communities.
Your guide to change.
"The ultimate tyranny in society is not control by martial law, it is control, by the physcological manipulation of consciousness, through which reality is defined so that those that exist within it, do not even realize that they are imprisoned."
– Barbra Marciniak.
As a connected and dominating species on planet earth, we live in communities, (Schools, workplaces, universities, villages, towns, cities) that are built on the intention of separatism.
We separate ourselves by our levels of accumulated wealth, skin colour, place of origin, ideas, opinions, ways of life etc.
We separate and compartmentalize everything.
Sometimes it feels to me like the only thing connecting us as a species is the limits we put on ourselves: the limits of our current form of government, the limits of our consciousness, the limits of poverty and the limits that come from such separation as exists today.
In an age where it is as easy to reach someone living on the other side of the planet as it is to cross the street, where is the sense of community?
Where is the co-operation to make planet earth an example of peace?
We are the catalysts of our own destruction…
But where has our divinity hidden?
I believe that the answer to making earth a more integral and loving place is investing in communities.
I believe that to change the world, we must each start with our inner selves, and work outwards like a ripple.
What communities of all types and sizes lack is a mutual connection; a sense of belonging and social connection that is granted to all, as well as the empowerment that comes from knowing you can change your environment.
I personally believe that we can redefine and recreate how we see and participate in communities.
What can we do about separation in communities?
Here is an example of what I feel a true community culture should look like:
• Communities supported through proprietorship and innovation, rather than corporate control.
• A coming together of all citizens in the community for planned social events such as group meditations, group yoga and exercises, group art, free lessons, seminars, and potlucks.
• Creation of large, protected and free community gardens where a barter and trade system is organized, as well as a take what you want, plant what you will system.
• A balance of nature and modern architecture.
• Less reliance on centralized banking systems, more introduction of DE-centralized crypto-currencies, advanced trade methods and a resource based economy (as seen in Jaques Frescos “The Venus Project” )
• Less reliance and or removal of P.O.L.I.C.E. from sovereign communities.
• Creation of Sovereign communities (An example is squatting communities)
• Homeless housed, wealth channeled back into community as an investment.
• FREE HOUSING to all citizens who can prove that they contribute to society.
• Revitalized and redesigned education systems that takes learning out of the classroom
• High value placed on natural learning and play
• Clean, free energy
• FREE Universities and colleges.
• Organized council of wise individuals to help conclude matters of importance in a fair and just way; pronounces decision and community votes whether to endorse it
• Laws and regulations decided completely by population; complete removal of all mainstream media, corporations, lobbyists, banksters and politicians.
• Art incorporated into environment instead of just museums.
• Teach kids from a young age that they are Creator Gods (not slaves)
• Councils created for certain sectors: I.E. an environmental group that decides everything that needs to be done to help the environment.
I think if we as a human race can transcend our greed and our need to be better than others as well as transcend poverty as a collective, we can truly do amazing things.
For me, the answer to issues such as martial law, wealth gaps, homelessness, etc. Is connecting and investing in our communities.
In order for countries to prosper in sovereignty, we have to tune it down a bit.
The first step is the change of an individual, and then comes that individuals investment in what he/she deems his/her community.
This creates an inter-network of individuals as a communities foundation. The continuous re-investment of not only money but ideas, skills, and time, into the community through each individual, creates an UN-fail-able system because everyone is working together in their unique ways and this creates diversity.
There cannot, however, possibly exist any meaningful level of diversity in any community until a reasonable level of equality is reached: this means the elimination of poverty and homelessness.
Those with wealth who are greedy, may look at an impoverished person or family with disgust, seeing not the opportunity that could be presented if such person(s) were allowed to successfully and naturally thrive, but only the problem that this person is not contributing.
The reality is that if we wish to evolve as a species, we must accept one another and the ideas / opinions that we all individually represent. We cannot hope to function as a society if we allow our communities to exist in chaos.
It is time to take back our communities.
In this way, as Saint Franscis is known to have said,
“it is in giving that we receive.”
The only way to effectively change the world is to directly bypass “authorities”: as indeed you are your own authority.
Government control is a result of the average human (hue-man :aka God) allowing their own beliefs and judgments to be governed, and their innate god-inherited rights to be stripped away as a result of INACTION.
( side note: DO NOT be a part of inaction. )
I once read in an article written by a man who tried to commit suicide that when he (almost?) died “he” left his body and floated skyward surrounded in a (torus) bubble of white light. In this space and time, he heard a voice speak itself clearly into his mind.
“It” said, “Your life is NOT your own to waste, as the universe expressing itself in a physical form, you owe your life to the betterment of the universe.”
Perhaps this voice was in fact another aspect of himself, perhaps it was an other-worldly entity. What is important is that in this moment of understanding, he then went back into his body and continued to live his life from the point of his death, continuing to give his gift in service to humanity.
In the same way our lives are not ours to waste; we owe our lives to the betterment of humanity and the blossoming of our gifts.
And we owe our gifts to our communities.
Perhaps one day we will even eliminate borders and provide all easy access to most of the earth.
After all, we are unlimited beings, living out a somewhat limited reality.
We can choose to simply open our eyes and SEE.
We can choose to look past our differences and recognize that the same innate truth exists within us all.
We are all a spark of divine consciousness; we all have a light within us.
