What does Leonardo and Miranda Ker have to do with Department of Justice (DOJ)?
Both are the recipients of laundered money and they have to return their luxury gifts to DOJ.

Alert, pissed of Malaysian here

Much has been said about my beloved country Malaysia and the biggest money scandal in our history. I have read so many reports and news and listened to so many opinions. This scandal is not easy on us Malaysian, our reputation is tarnished, but Malaysian are living in hell right now.

What scandal? I would try merge the explanation as brief as I can.

In 2015, Malaysia's Prime Minister, was accused of channelling over RM 2.67 billion (nearly USD 700 million) from 1MDB, a government-run strategic development company, to his personal bank accounts. The event triggered widespread criticisms among Malaysians, with many calling for Najib's resignation

On 3 August 2015, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission stated that the RM2.6 billion that had been banked into Najib's personal account came from donors, not 1MDB

Global investigators believe more than $1 billion entered Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak's personal bank accounts, much of it from state investment fund 1MDB

The U.S. DOJ filed suit to recovery around $540 million in assets allegedly stolen from Malaysia wealth fund 1MDB, established by Prime Minister Najib Razak.

U.S. authorities, in civil complaints, have accused Malaysian financier Jho Low of laundering more than $400 million stolen from 1MDB through an account in the United States.

In 2014, Miranda Kerr reportedly dated Malaysian financier Jho Low, who gifted her with millions of dollars in jewelry. Miranda Kerr has turned over jewelry worth $8.1 million to the U.S. Department of Justice that she received. JHO LOW is AWOL now

Malaysian Prime Minister's Office of however calls the DoJ suits ‘unproven allegations’ and noted its concern that there was a motivation that went beyond the objective of seizing assets in the DoJ’s latest filing

In this articles I would like to sum up what Malaysian have to endure our everyday life in pain. No, we are not in war or such, we are just the victim of opportunities and we live to live with the wrong choices we make. How’s the Malaysian is affected by it is beyond your imaginations. I hope I am not in jail for this and yes, I can be put on jail for damaging my country’s images.

  • Due to the hefty debts our country is facing as the result of Government bailing state-owned company’s debt, Malaysian are facing an increased cost of everything for the sake of paying those debts.
Subsidies gone, new tax implemented, new tourism tax (while the Tourism Minister brings his second wife to Paris on official meetings). Public were console with money a.k.a BRIM or in short, a subsidies in Money form. This is to keep old folks happy, but the youth are not. The amount was so minimal compared to the amount taken by the tax.Get this, Malaysian Minister’s are so dumb. Yes. He is so dumb that he became an internet meme. I present to you Ahmad Maslan. He is the subject of Facebook bullies. That man is so messed up, covering up the new tax rationale with no basis. When the new tax announced (good and service tax), the public went berserk and he console the public saying the new Tax will make price of goods go down, he completely went the other way than the much intelligent analyst. He eventually came up with a recipe of fried rice which features ingredient of non-tax-subjected ingredients that suppose to calm down citizens

This is him with his Fried rice recipe. The caption said he has 3.85 CGPA. He allegedly said he has 3.85 CGPA that makes him a capable Ministers. Geez

  • Our newspaper headlines showed other things
Imagine being a Malaysian, the international headlines VS. Domestic headlines. Obviously there is no freedom of press in Malaysia. Here, news companies were given license to operate. This license will be revoked by the government if they not like it. #trueStory. RIP free speech. Luckily there’s internet! But unluckily, old folks do not use the internet. Even the TV news is biased.

  • Our favourite and talented Governor was replaced due to her vocal in criticising the money scandal. She is my idol since childhood! She is the reason I am studying hard. She is life (now that is exaggerated). Zeti Akhtar Aziz was a top 9 Governor of the world.

In 2014, Global Finance magazine had given Zeti a ‘Grade A’ rating for the 11th consecutive year.

  • Our unknown currency (Ringgit) fell to the pit. It’s hard to travel

  • Political views dividing our multi-racial people. I don’t want to go in depth for this, it is damaging enough.

  • Watching South Korea impeached their scandalous Prime Minister, we all Malaysian just cried, together as a citizens T___________T knowing that it is impossible to have the same outcomes, at least currently.

  • Cybertroopers were in action defending facebook of our top official No 1. Our citizen could not believe their eyes!. Thousand of fake profiles were alleged to be created in FB every day, you can try hashtag #respectmyPM which is the main hashtag this profiles use to combat everyday hate at our Prime Minister

  • Joke after joke . 2.6bil,diamond ring, Jho Low, gifts and many more is all trending here. Malaysia will and always make joke of our situation everyday, everytime, anywhere , on Uber, in a shopping mall, and with the taxi driver, we will throw you that joke. That 2.6bil joke.

Thanks for reading,

Until then,

Jen
