The only right we have is a soul. You can also give this away

To me, universal health care is just a way for a centralized government to consolidate more power to themselves and justify high taxes by trying to appeal to the peoples' ethics and emotions. Nobody wants to deny a sickly poor person health care. so of course if you don't use your logic and see how it is going to effect the socioeconomic system that you live in you are going to agree with it because who wouldn't. But like i said if you look at the logical argument and ask yourself, is it right to force a doctor at gunpoint to provide service to someone? because that is basically what you are advocating for if you say people have a right to make the doctor take care of them.

All rights are imagined only by humans, you have no right to self determination or freedom either.

But in a civilised society we should want other people to be free, to be healthy, to have a place to call home and for people to care for one another.

The problem is that the people aren't free but believe that they are. In a completely free market society where the government and insurance companies didn't dictate the cost of health care it would become affordable for anyone

I live in a country with free universal healthcare. Making a profit out of healthcare is what makes it expensive.

same problem with college. government dictates its price then we end up with people my age or a little younger starting out their life with a big massive debt yet its somehow the fault of capitalism

That's the fault of people trying to make a profit from education, it makes it a lot more expensive.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with making a profit from your labor. Doctors and teachers put in long hard hours and deserve to be compensated for it just like anyone else who works. Free universal healthcare is a huge step backwards, in a socialist environment nobody is striving to be the best and you end up with people who don't care about anything. When is the last time you saw someone fleeing from free market capitalism

Im not saying Doctors and Nurses cant make a decent living, but a huge insurance company is totally surplus to requirements, profiteering from poor health is immoral. Everyone should have the same access to healthcare, it should not be distributed based on wealth.
What has socialism got to do with anything, I live in a capitalist country, that just happens to believe that everyone should get a fair shot at being healthy.

Universal healthcare is a socialist program. It takes money from others to help others it makes no sense just help ourselves. I live in the u.s. technically we're capitalist but we have so many social programs and market regulations we are pretty much socialist

I don't understand why you have a problem with everyone receiving healthcare based on need. It doesn't matter if its socialism, pinkism or bongobongoism; if you are ill you cannot work and be productive, or prevent family members being productive while they atrempt to care for you, or you may spread infections.
It's more important than politics.

Taking taxes out of my check to pay for what you and your family needs is bullshit. Sorry if it seems cold but it's theft

also since your healthcare is free and universal provided by your government who are you going to hold accountable for things like medical malpractice. Good luck ever holding a government responsible for anything

Government doesnt practice healthcare, just like insurance companies dont practice healthcare. Doctors practice heathcare in all systems, so there is no difference in who is liable if you care is incorrect.
