Remnants of the former glory - a dissolution of an ideology.
When you think about it, the state this is in can be likened to the socialist state of mind in these parts. Abandoned and shattered. A good thing? Depends on who you ask.
Built in 1981 It didn’t fill its intended purpose for long. After the dissolution of Yugoslavia in early 90s it mostly hosted refugees.
It feels like this monumental building was left in this state on purpose. Nature is slowly reclaiming it.
There were a few scattered visitors inside. We were a bit scared to be honest. Hollow sounds of voices ricocheting off the bare concrete.
We didn’t venture deep. There was a significant chance something falls apart above us. Just some rooms which look like they were pillaged and ransacked on purpose and the main area where you enter. There was a sports hall in the side entrance but we backtracked quickly.
What saddened me the most is this bar. Shrubbery found its way in. Reminds me of Fallout (roleplaying game) art. Imagine how many beers were drank here in the golden times!
Like in those Vaults built in the anticipation of the Great War!

Just as we were leaving a weary police officers reprimanded us for entering state property. Begrudgingly, he accepted our apology as we hurried out.

I use to live in that part of the world and I'm familiar how politicians operate. Before and now. Same old bastards, they're just changed clothes and flags. Poor people pay all bills on the end.

It's easier to be stupid. The only difference is that here in Ca you watch hockey in Eu they watch soccer. But beer is same; here and there.
