As i wrote, Korea is getting back together.
The family wants to be reunited.
A factor you may not have accounted for is China. China doesn't want to deal with the millions of refugees from NK. So, they have been working on a plan to stop that. And they have been working on it for more than a decade. I bet part of Kim's decision is based on a tiger breathing down his back.
I haven't not considered it, I was just holding back for a future date. I really didn't want to get into that in this article. China's a big winner here and they finally get what they want, a mostly clean Korean peninsula of U.S. influence as well as a North Korea that can come out of the dark ages.
