Biden visits North Carolina in an attempt to return us to "swing state" status

..and I don't believe it had any impact on how the people of North Carolina feel at all. This was just a day or so after his disastrous debate that Trump didn't necessarily win, but Biden definitely lost. I didn't watch all of it because I knew that it would just be a bunch of talking points that all of us have already heard dozens of times even if we weren't looking for it and yeah, that is basically what it was along with a bunch of expected stretching of the truth and manipulations of statistics, well on Trump's part, Biden couldn't remember what he was talking about most of the time.

Biden arrived in Raleigh, North Carolina, which is about 90 minutes away from where I live. At no point in time did I, or anyone else that I know feel compelled to do anything other than avoid Raleigh during that time. I didn't listen to his speech but I am quite certain it was teleprompted in and written by a team of people that practiced it on the plane with him dozens of time before doping him up with Adderall or some other stimulant to attempt to make him look like the opposite of what he appeared to be like during the debate.

I guess they were attempting to make him seem confident, competent, and even a bit aggressive during this speech and well, they should be doing exactly that. The media will no doubt do all that they can to focus on that but in my mind I don't think that North Carolina is really on the table as far as being a "swing state" is concerned. Historically and especially in the past 15 years, NC flips back and forth and are not super aligned with either party. We regularly vote one way or another but the dislike of how things are right now are a bit too much for Biden and his team to change with a staged rally.

I feel the same way about Trump rallies honestly and I don't know why people spend their time going to either one of them. This is the epitome of groupthink is it not? To stand up there in front of a big group of people that you already know support you, with a group of hand-selected people in the background to make it appear as though this man has large scale support from a wide array of people. Trump does the same thing as they almost always make certain to have plenty of minorities directly behind him wherever he is speaking. This is not a coincidence.

In the most recent poll that was done in NC Biden was losing by double-digits and I think it is a bit strange that they would think they have what it takes to make up that sort of gap. I don't believe they can.

Also, doesn't it irritate anyone that a ton of money gets spent every 4 years for a person to run all over the country to make campaign speeches for like half of their term? This is not a partisan thing, I have a problem with that regardless of who is doing it. The planes, the security, the venues, well isn't a lot of that paid for by taxes? That doesn't seem right. Politics are so screwed in USA to the point where it is really difficult to have anything but a feeling of hatred for all of it.

Biden is fumbling hard.
