To be honest my parents were American and got rid of their citizenship (including mine) for many reasons (Taxes/Obama). I guess you can say we are fiscally more conservative people.

This is difficult as I live in a quasi-socialist country myself. There are benefits and drawbacks to everything.

However the NFL vs Trump thing is very bothersome. I can understand protests and things to be angry about; but I am very upset with the whole thing. NFL players are given a gift. They play a game that provides entertainment to a populace that doesn't need to be dragged into politics. I think it is a sickness to be honest. How can people who make more money than most average individuals protest their own country?

It's absurd.

Players earn money in their own country and then protest that same country over something that has nothing to do with the game.

It's like biting the hand that feeds you!

Now I'm not a great fan of President Trump as I think he is just another crony capitalist pretender. He panders to whatever will get the vote; much like all politicians. However I think he was a better choice than Hillary. She is the ultimate same or even worse of the deep corruption in politics.

Just my two cents, but NFL players that disrespect their flag and country makes me lose respect for them and the country. I wouldn't spend a cent on unappreciative people who take for granted their ability to make money on something they love.

NFL players need to grow up or get the "f" out. They are like spoiled celebrities who have no idea what it takes to run a business. There are always things that upset us about our governments, but bringing it into a game that should only elicit patriotism is a morale changer. This is going to deeply hurt the game, the players, and the country if it is not stamped out immediately.

You want to protest? Do it off the clock. Freedom of speech and expression has its place in a free society; but not in a "game".
