I agree that above the layer of the decentralized foundational protocols on the Internet, there’s a lot of design-by-committee failure layered on top that needs to go the way of the Dodo bird. JavaScript and CSS are two prime examples of clusterfucks.

I think you may end up incorrect about the importance of decentralized ledgers, although many of your criticisms of extant blockchain designs I agree with:
