Crisis of Venezuela: Story of a death announced

in #politics6 years ago

The lack of an efficient economic, social and political model means that countries like Venezuela are seriously harmed, because the social and economic potential is not exploited and this results in the fact that we continue to be an underdeveloped country. According to the report of the international organization UNDP (United Nations Program for Development) (2003), "Venezuela is located in the high stratum according to its human development index, which is 0.762; and it is below 70 countries, occupying the 71st place ". The country with the highest human development index is Norway, with 0.944 and it is in the very high stratum.

Analyzing World Bank figures (2014), "Venezuela has a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of 545.704 million US dollars", that is, Venezuela is below 34 countries, ranked number 35, and among the 5 first of South America. The GDP is basically the total of all the final goods and services produced by any country in 365 days, in relation to a standardized price list, quoted within the domestic market of the United States, which is taken as a relation in the comparisons Internationally, Venezuela is located in a very good position compared to other countries according to its Gross Domestic Product, but unfortunately there are not enough supplies for the people and that is why Venezuela suffers from a humanitarian crisis at this time.

Considering the Gross Domestic Product, Venezuela could be better, but the mismanagement of the resources of the state, the corruption and the mistake in economic policies have taken Venezuela to the bottom of a grave, from which it is not impossible to leave, but if it is very difficult. The numbers show that Venezuela is a developing country, but in reality and on the streets of Venezuela, the truth is different, very different from the figures; and Why does this happen? Because of the lack of social programs that guarantee a decent life for citizens, for the lack of an efficient economic system that benefits all social classes, for the lack of a transparent and effective political system.

In spite of not having official figures, it is believed that Venezuela occupies the first place in the world with higher inflation, which exceeds 100%, that is, the Bolivar is the most devalued currency in the world, which reduces the purchasing power every day and heritage of the country's citizens. According to studies of the United Nations Organization (2014), "Venezuela ranks 71st in education with 0.921 and 59th in inequality with 0.513," these figures suggest that our socioeconomic potential is not being used.

In the 2013-2019 National Plan, Nicolás Maduro 2013 proposes 2019 goals are colossal, but if it goes to reality it is impossible to achieve, at least before 2019. The Simón Bolívar, Central de Venezuela and Católica Andrés universities Bello did studies in 2016 and pointed out that the poverty rate in Venezuela is between 72 and 76% of the population. Politically the reality is not different, according to the Intelligence Unit of the Economist newspaper (2012), "Venezuela ranks 116th in democracy indexes, and is located in the category of Authoritarian Regime, with 3.96 out of 10 points." This means that Venezuela is one of the countries with the least democracy in the world; Without democracy, good human development for citizens can not be guaranteed.

It takes into account that social problems such as poverty, lack of education, lack of social programs, the lack of a Welfare State, crime, marginality, economic problems such as inflation, corruption, misuse of public funds and political problems, such as low levels of democracy, popular mistrust in the electoral system, separation of powers are serious problems that we must face as a country, if we want to be developed.

A free and flexible economic model must be applied where there is a Free Market Law that benefits both the employer and the employee, to encourage private enterprise. What is needed is a legislative system that serves the people, a judicial system that is impartial and an executive system that is transparent. Having transparent bodies is necessary to reduce corruption. Promoting the separation of public powers, where one complement the other to achieve a transparent political system. Look for an educational system where freedom of thought and values are prioritized, and apply an educational system similar to that of Germany.

A model that will guarantee the development and active participation of each individual along with the State, by means of the vital minimum, establishing the necessary conditions for a Welfare State. The State must be limited in its functions of internal and external security, judicial, social security and legislative. Private property should be promoted, competition for efficiency, creation of free prices and free circulation of labor, capital, services and goods. This proposal was born out of the need for an economic, social and political model that managed to solve these problems and start Venezuela as a country on the road to development.
