RE: K-Pop: Cultural Diplomacy or Weaponized Culture?

in #politics6 years ago (edited)

Haha, yes, I know that especially Bigbang has very excentric music videos, for example 'BangBangBang'. Should the South's music culture one day find the North's eye in the form of music videos, there surely needs to be done some more friendly mutual acceptance for each other.
Generally on a worldwide scale, the political landscape overemphasizes words, so in this case the choice of performers with their songtexts is a particularly delicate matter. Surely, Acceptance of cultural values between North and South is key, which explains the candid choice of Red Valvet.

I studied the Korean language for quite some years, and in terms of music there is a huge array of bands I like, particularly 2PM and Sistar ;)
