Work for smiles, Politcs in Brazil!

Yesterday the new mayor of Rio de Janeiro went to the presentation of the new Culture Secretary , in Carlos Gomes Theater, in the center of Rio de Janeiro, in front of a crowd of many personalities of cultural area, the Mayor Marcelo Crivella said that's "is time to do more with less". He continue saying that "culture is exchange. The artist, sculptor, musician exchange their art for a smile, a feeling, an aplause". His speech was interrupt by yellings saying "Culture is work, Job and Food". The manifestants were ovated by the crowd.

Visibly embarrassed, The mayor said "that too" and proceed with his speech...

As musician and knowing and difficulties that this class have to face, I can only be very upset with this kind of thing coming from the mayor of my city, I hope someday the people give more value to art =[
