The Hype of Cameroon's Election
Edited, related information included.
Hi to all, I hope you're having a great day. While we await results of the Cameroon Presidential elections, there continue to be a lot going on.
Our elections governing body, has up to the 22 of October 2018 to provide the results of elections that took place on Sunday the 7th of October.
There is a lot of drama going on and certainly there will be more before the elections results are proclaimed.
With the main opposition to the president declaring himself President and Transparency international declaring that the didn't have agents watch the elections process, the heat is up.
On Monday just a day after elections, the main opposition to the current President who has been in power for 36yrs, Maurice Kamto declared himself President and victor of the elections. He made this announcement publicly in the presence of a crowd presume to be his supporters in Yaounde.
Also, I personally watch an interview on the our National TV in which a white lady claiming to be an agent of the international rights group, Transparency International, TI said that they supervised the election process and it was very transparent. She added that the public should accept whatever the outcome of the elections maybe.
Today, Transparency international have confirmed that non of their agents were in Cameroon at the time of the elections. The news has spread all over the country and most people are in deep thoughts as to why the National TV presented such a false information.
Most people say it was a way to make accept the outcome of the elections which as they predict will be manipulated. After all, 15 days is enough time for the results to be manipulated as vote counting and assembly of results are going on but the process is not transparent to the public.
