New report sheds light on the source of sexual crimes in Sweden

in #politics7 years ago

Over the past years, news of an on-going sexual crime epidemic in Sweden, as well as in other places in Europe, has been spread around the internet. Reports of gang-rapes in public places, "sexual emergencies" and sexual harassment of children at swimming pools have indicated that something fundamentally has changed in western Europe.

Whereas left-wing feminists typically claimed that this was nothing new, that the problem was "toxic masculinity" in general and that white indigenous men are just as likely to commit these types of crimes, many others saw a correlation to the massive influx of third-world migrants that occurred in the last few years.

In Sweden, the last official study by the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention (BRÅ) on the geographical origin of criminals was conducted over a decade ago, leading many to ask for a new study to be performed - especially given the somewhat radical demographic change that has occurred in Sweden just in the past years, following an unprecedented intake of migrants. The current (self-proclaimed feminist) government did not, however, see the need for this. Hence, it did not give BRÅ the task of conducting a new study of this kind, as of January 2017.

Given the reluctance of the government to look into the matter, Joakim P. Jonasson, a candidate for the Sweden Democrats, took it upon himself to look into the actual statistics surrounding sexual crimes in Sweden. Just recently, a report on the findings of his study was published. Despite not being an official study, it seems to be thoroughly done and is based on a study of all court cases resulting in conviction of sexual crimes in Sweden over the last five years (more than 4000).

The following are some of the key results of the study:

  • The share of Swedish men with both parents born in Sweden convicted of sexual crimes has, in relation to other groups, declined since 2013 (and substantially so since 2015).

  • Afghans convicted of sexual crimes has proportionally increased considerably since 2015; almost one tenth of every convicted criminal of sexual offenses is an Afghan.

  • Men of non-European background commit 84% of all felony rapes, 38% of rapes, despite being a minority of the population in Sweden.

  • The groups with the highest probability of committing felony rapes are Algerians, Afghans, Tunisians, Moroccans and Palestinians, in that order.

  • Almost two thirds of felony rapes are committed by asylum seeking men or men who have been given residence permit (non-EU citizens).

  • 90% of gang-rapes are committed by men of non-European background. One fourth of every rapist who acted in group is Afghan.

  • Swedish men with both parents born in Sweden committed 6.7% of gang-rapes over the last five years.

The report is filled with even more statistics and breakdowns of different types of sexual crimes, but the above is enough for the purpose of this post. As evident by the figures presented, non-European migrants are a definite concern when it comes to crimes of this nature and thus invalidates the claim that all men are to blame equally for the decreased safety of primarily women - but also for other men. The over-representation of men from the MENA region for this type of crime is yet another example of the danger of political correctness stifling open discussion of real problems and allowing of suicidal policies. Does this mean that all people with this background is a rapist? Of course not. But to deny real aggregate differences between different populations, cultures and ideologies when dealing with macro issues is bound to result in undesirable outcomes.
