Deceit with Religion

Someone was sharing with me how they were manipulated to hate an aspirant just because he was a Muslim. He said they had series of prayer sections just praying against the candidate and asking God to disgrace the candidate and his group. They entered 'prophetic' actions against someone who was going for a political office and just wanted a Christian to lead not because he was more competent but only because he was a Christian.

When religion is used wrongly in affairs that concern the populace, it is always a problem as many people suffer the fate of the wicked. I was told how some religious leaders (Christians and Muslims) collected money from political leaders to cause issues amongst their followers. And at that time in Zaria, Muslims will preach that if you voted for a Christian you were an unbeliever and will not enter paradise and Christians will preach that voting a Muslim is endorsing the bond woman over the affairs of the nation.

Religion is now the 'pinion' of the masses. It is high time the chain is broken!
