The US will give the death penalty for drug dealers and opioids

White House officials yesterday said US President Donald Trump would notify his plan to combat opioid dependence (pain reliever). One of his plans was to apply the death penalty for drug dealers and urged Congress to strengthen sentencing laws for the dealers.

In addition, the White House also plans to cut the prescription of opioid drugs to one third over the next three years. How, by explaining the practices that can reduce excessive opioid prescription in the federal health program.

The plan became the latest White House action to address the drug abuse crisis in the United States, which left thousands of people dead from overdoses. Trump also asserted that the US is tough to overcome this incident.

"The Justice Department is seeking death sentences against drug traffickers when it complies with current law," said Trump Domestic Policy Council Director Andrew Bremberg.

But the White House did not provide specific examples of when it would be appropriate to decide on the death sentence, and asked further questions to the Justice Department.

According to the Death Penalty Information Center, federal laws have now allowed the death penalty in certain drug cases. Including murders related to drug trafficking and drug-related drug-related murders.
