Liberal Sheep

Isn't the term "liberal sheep" an oxymoron??  The whole idea of liberalism is looking forward,  thinking outside of the box, doing what is different from what the crowd says is normal.

Isn't Conservatism about keeping things the same, like the way things were done in the past.  Following what the crowd says is normal.

Soooo who is the sheep??
