I think sours especially Belgian lambics are already quite popular in Europe, but an export to US and huge hype makes them less accessible. They are also quite hardcore in terms of sourness so I choose less sour options like one described in this review. On the other hand, you living in Netherlands should have rather good access to lambics and I strongly recommend buying some, especially rarer ones since they have huge trade value on secondary market and tend to age very well.
