Those with first hand expedience of police are more critical than those who only know police from movies and TV.
That's a real own goal of an argument.
And the thing that confounds the copsuckers is that I haven't ever had a serious run-in with cops. But, as I have pointed out, I don't have to have been murdered to realize murder is wrong.
